Hospital and Nurse services
Headway Suffolk is pleased to announced two new services
The first is a Hospital Co-ordinator, who will initially spend a day a week in Ipswich Hospital and West Suffolk Hospital so that as soon as someone is admitted with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition a Headway employee will be able to give them advice and tell them about Headway’s services.
Helen Fairweather, our Chief Executive, said: “Hopefully this will stop the gap in services and people saying “two to three years after discharge from hospital I wish we had known about Headway sooner.”
The other post is a nurse to lead our nurse-based community work. This is a result of us winning a tender with the CCG. We will be delivering specialised neurological support to people who need a nurse.
This, we hope, will spread throughout the county, including the East to those who wish to privately pay for a service, as well as those in the West who have CCG funding. |
