Achievements Celebrated at Awards Ball

The achievements of brain injury survivors will be celebrated at Headway Suffolk’s Awards Ball on Saturday 12 November at Seckford Golf Club near Woodbridge.

Guests will enjoy a delightful four-course dinner and hear inspirational stories of triumph over adversity from those who have made great strides following a brain injury or with a neurological condition.

The evening, which will also recognise the dedication of volunteers and family carers, starts at 6.30pm.

After last year’s inaugural Ball, award-winner Martin Patient, who attends the Bury St Edmunds hub, told the Bury Free Press: “I’m elated – to get the award is like a stepping stone achievement back into the real world.”

Don’t miss out on hearing more powerful stories like Martin’s this year.

The evening costs £50 per person and companies can sponsor an award for a brain injury survivor in their area for just £100.

In both circumstances, contact us on 01473 712225 or by email [email protected].

David Crane, the charity’s Communications and Marketing Officer, said: “We see many incredible achievements by our clients every day, from improving their mobility or learning to use their other hand to write, paint or sew, and the Awards Ball is a great way of formally celebrating these milestones.”

Headway Suffolk supports 250 people a week across Suffolk and south Norfolk who have sustained a brain injury or have a neurological condition.

Headway’s services promote and enable clients’ independence through rehabilitation and therapy at its hubs, in the community and in the person’s home.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Awards Ball on Saturday.
