Recruitment Day – 20 February

Headway Suffolk will be hosting a recruitment day on Tuesday 20 February in Ipswich, with a range of exciting opportunities available.

The charity supports over 250 adults with an acquired brain injury or a neurological condition in Suffolk and south Norfolk with rehabilitation, therapy and support services at its hubs and in the person’s own home and community.

The recruitment day, which takes place at Epsilon House, West Road in Ipswich from 9am – 6pm, gives an opportunity to learn more about how Headway supports its clients and how you could be part of its vital and valued service.  You will also be able to have a formal interview.

Among the positions available will be for Brain Injury Rehabilitation Support Assistants and Support Workers with driving duties.  Headway has its own mini buses and pool cars for staff travelling and assisting clients with transport.

Headway Suffolk supports clients with rehabilitation activities in its hubs in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe and Haverhill, which include cooking, life skills, exercise, music, art and crafts, IT, cognitive and memory recall exercises, as well as outdoor group activities such as the gym, swimming, walking hockey and football.

The charity also supports individuals in their own home and community with daily living tasks, such as shopping, laundry and appointments, and promoting their independence through taking part in leisure activities, such as walking, socialising and bowling.

To discuss the day or employment opportunities, contact Penny Tansley, HR Officer, on 01473 552868 or [email protected].
