Felixstowe Community Hospital will be the new venue for Headway Suffolk’s satellite hub service in the seaside town on a Monday from June 4.
Headway Suffolk, which supports adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions, will move the rehabilitation and support service to the hospital on Constable Road on June 4 from its current location at the St John the Baptist Church in Orwell Road.
The service helps users with their skills and cognitive abilities that may have been impaired as a result of their injury or condition through rehabilitation activities.
The link with the hospital will enable inpatients to access Headway’s support during their recovery and speed up discharge times, as well as reducing readmission.
Headway also provides a satellite hub service in existing community buildings in Haverhill on a Wednesday and in Woodbridge, from May 23, on a Wednesday.
